From PC to Mobile: Connecting Servers in Minecraft

Check Server Compatibility:
Before attempting to connect to a Minecraft server from PC to mobile, it's essential to ensure that the server supports cross-platform play. Not all servers allow players from different platforms to connect and play together. Look for servers that explicitly state compatibility with both PC and mobile platforms.
Obtain the Server Address:
To connect to a Minecraft server, you need to know its IP address. Obtain the server address from the server owner or through server listing websites. The IP address is a combination of numbers separated by periods, such as "192.168.1.100." Make sure to have the correct IP address ready for the server you wish to join.
Connect to the Server:
On your mobile device, open Minecraft and navigate to the multiplayer menu. Tap on "Add Server" or "Join Server" to enter the server information. In the server address field, input the IP address of the server you want to connect to. Optionally, you can assign a name to the server for easy identification. Tap "Done" or "Join" to initiate the connection.
Configure Port Forwarding (If Necessary):
In some cases, if the server is hosted on a private network and port forwarding is not set up, you may encounter connection issues. Port forwarding allows incoming connections to reach the server on your network. To set up port forwarding, you will need to access your router's settings and configure the appropriate port (usually port 25565 for Minecraft servers) to forward traffic to the internal IP address of the device hosting the server. This step is not always necessary, as some servers are hosted on public networks with port forwarding already configured.
Compatibility with Minecraft Versions:
Ensure that the Minecraft version you have on your mobile device matches the version of the server you are connecting to. Minecraft versions can differ between PC and mobile, so make sure to check the server's version and update your mobile Minecraft app if needed. Compatibility issues can arise if the versions do not match.
Enjoy Multiplayer Adventures:
Once successfully connected to the server, you can join the multiplayer world and start enjoying the server's features, activities, and gameplay. Interact with other players, engage in collaborative builds, participate in mini-games, or embark on thrilling adventures. The possibilities are vast, and the experiences shared with players from different platforms can be truly memorable.
